How to update a vehicles odometer

Updating your odometer via the Bonnet Web portal isn't just a click-and-forget deal – it's packed with perks! 🚗💨

Here's the lowdown:

1. Stay Ahead on Service Alerts: We've got your back on service tracking. If your service is due at 60,000 KM and you input your odometer at 59,500 KM, we'll shoot you a heads-up! Your vehicle status will turn red, giving you a nudge that your service is around the bend.

2. RUC Reminders for Diesel (and soon Electric/Hybrid) Drivers: Diesel aficionados, this one's for you! And soon, electric and hybrid pals too. RUC payments are inevitable, right? Based on our RUC license cover (extracted straight from NZTA), we'll ping you when your RUCs are about to hit the stage. Your vehicle status will flash orange or red, ensuring you're never caught off guard.

3. Fuel Consumption Tracking: Keeping tabs on your odometer is not just about the serious stuff. It's also your ticket to tracking fuel consumption – a handy feature we'll be unleashing soon!

Here's how to update your odometer:

1) Select the vehicle you want to update
2) Click 'Vehicle details' or click the RUC or Service circles and you will be taken to the 'Vehicle details page'

3) Simply, update the 'Odometer Reading' Field, and hit 'update' and both service and RUC will calculate based on the odometer reading.
