How to downgrade a vehicle on the web portal

So, you're wanting to downgrade your vehicle on the web portal? No sweat, just breeze through these steps below. But, heads up – switching to standard means your vehicle won't get credits for NZTA updates and you'll need to manually update the WOF, COF, REGO and RUCs or pay a premium to get the information out of the NZTA.

How to downgrade:

1. Login to the web portal

2. Find the vehicle you want to downgrade

3. Select your vehicle, click the 'view details' to open up the area with more details for that vehicle

4. At the top you will see 'Downgrade' in green like this:

5. Click the 'Downgrade' text, select 'yes'

Done. Mission accomplished – your vehicle will now be marked with the 'standard' tag.
